Teen Summer Reading Challenge

June 16 - August 22. For teens entering grades 7-12.

Log your summer reading online to enter prize raffles.  See what other teens are reading and read their reviews.  The more you read, the higher your chances to win big!  If you would prefer to fill out a paper log, you can download it here or find them in the Young Adult area of the library. Please drop off your paper logs in the yellow box in the Young Adult area.

Roslyn READS!

TEENS! Earn Service Learning Hours! Certificates will be awarded!

Attention Beginner Readers! Fun Program! Roslyn READS!

It is important to practice your reading over the summer! The Roslyn Branch is offering a fun program where beginner readers entering Kindergarten through entering third grade will be matched with a young adult (age 12-17) to listen to stories and practice reading aloud. The young adults will be volunteering as part of a service learning experience. They will receive training on read-aloud and listening techniques. Program dates: June 23 – Aug. 18, 2014. Monday afternoons from 1:30-2:30 p.m. OR Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. 


Code Camp

html, php, CSS, and javaScriptA weekly workshop on Thursday nights
July 24-August 28 @ 7-8pm
For teens entering grades 7-12

Learn basic coding (html, php, CSS, and javaScript) and create a unique website all about you!
Bring your own laptop or use one of ours.
